We would like to provide people with the opportunity to try something a little different on holiday, or even at a weekend.
We aim to provide a service where we will provide days out in the Welsh mountains enjoying the spectacular scenery, and seeing nature at it’s most splendid.
As the name suggests we will be taking birds of prey with us, and flying them whilst walking.
The trips will include flight demonstrations, informative talks about the history of the area we are walking in, flora and fauna, and past and present uses for birds of prey.
In addition to this there will be an opportunity to handle the birds yourself under supervision, and lunch included in the price. This will consist of either a finger buffet style lunch on the mountainside, weather permitting! Or lunch in a restaurant en route from a set menu.
We also intend to visit youth groups and schools within Wales to display the birds, and to hopefully instill an interest in the younger generations.
Eventually, we would like to offer short courses in bird handling, survival skills and to open a centre for these skills.
